This year’s end-of-term celebration for Master’s students was held at Uppsala Castle and the Botanical Gardens.

An end-of-term celebration for all Uppsala University’s Master’s students was held on 2 June with a ceremony in Rikssalen at Uppsala Castle, and a reception with music, mingling and speeches in the Botanical Gardens.

Some 431 Master’s students registered to take part in the end-of-term ceremony at Uppsala Castle. The ceremony was followed by a reception in the Botanical Gardens for the Master’s students and their guests.

The Deputy Vice-Chancellor and representatives for the student unions gave speeches, and choir Allmänna sången provided musical entertainment.

‘Our Master’s students are important to the University and they contribute vitality and development’, said Uppsala University’s Deputy Vice-Chancellor Anders Malmberg. ‘It feels good to highlight their efforts with an end-of-term reception and that they in this way can celebrate their degree together with course mates, family and friends.’

‘They will soon contribute important work across the world’, said Anders Malmberg. ‘We hope they will also stay in touch with us through our Alumni network and alumni chapters.’
