Professor Sylvie K. Chetty was born and grew up in South Africa and is currently Professor of Entrepreneurship at the University of Otago, New Zealand. She has a distinct international profile and cooperates with researchers in many countries. Her cooperation with the Department of Business Studies in Uppsala goes back to 1997.
Professor Chetty has made some 60 publications, including 45 internationally reviewed articles in different disciplines spanning subjects such as entrepreneurship, international business, and marketing. Her publications are often quoted in international literature and through her orientation and engaging personality, Professor Chetty has long been a source of inspiration to researchers at Uppsala University. She is a much appreciated co-author and participant of common research projects, and is important to research seminars where her positive, cooperative and competent presence inspires enthusiasm in both young and old researchers.
