  • Chao Xu, postdoctoral researcher in Nanotechnology and Functional Materials at the Department of Engineering Sciences.

The scholarships will be presented at a reception at the Royal Palace of Stockholm on 9 June.

About the Fund

King Carl XVI Gustaf's 50th Birthday Fund for Science, Technology and the Environment came into being in connection with His Majesty the King’s 50th birthday. It was an initiative on the part of the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences, the Royal Swedish Academy of Agriculture and Forestry, the Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences and the then Swedish National Federation of Industry (now the Confederation of Swedish Enterprise). Its purpose was to promote research, technological development and entrepreneurship that contribute to sustainable use of natural resources and conservation of biodiversity.
