Uppsala University Library’s digitisation plans in 2018
During 2018, Uppsala University Library will put extra resources into the digitisation of materials in our collections. Books, maps, pictures and music scores among other materials from our special collections will be made available in digital form, for easier access and use for research.
We plan to digitise a variety of materials during 2018, for example medieval manuscripts, early printed atlases, handwritten music scores. See the full list here: Digitalisering vid UUB (in Swedish only)
Everything digitized at the Uppsala University Library will immediately be available for free online. We store and publish the digital files in Alvin – platform for digital collections and digitized cultural heritage, managed and developed by Uppsala University Library.
With start in January 2018 we also aim to finish the ongoing work with digitising all the dissertations published at Uppsala University 1602-1855. These are published in Diva, and we plan have digitised all dissertations at the beginning of 2020.
