The Nordic Council of Ministers has granted 1.5 million Danish Krone (about 200 000 euro) to a new Nordic Master Programme in Environmental Law (NOMPEL). NOMPEL will focus on two substantive areas: natural resources management law and climate change & energy law. Three universities are responsible for NOMPEL, which is a joint degree programme: The Law Faculty at Uppsala University (coordinator), the University of Eastern Finland Law School and the Law Faculty at Tromsø University. The programme is planned to start in autumn 2019, with a yearly intake of 25 students. The students will stay at all three universities during the two-year programme. The grant will be used for covering the students’ travel expenses.
