Doctoral student at Faculty of Law to be Olof Palme Visiting Professor

The Swedish Research Council has decided to award Jason J. Czarnezki, Professor of Environmental Law at Pace University in the US and a doctoral student in environmental law at the Faculty of Law in Uppsala, the 2020 Olof Palme Visiting Professorship at Stockholm University.


Professor Jason J. Czarnezki is Associate Dean and Executive Director of Environmental Law Programs at the Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University in New York. He is also currently engaged in doctoral studies at Uppsala University’s Department of Law. His PhD research project clarifies the importance of a healthy environment for global peace, security and social welfare.

The Olof Palme Visiting Professorship is awarded to an internationally distinguished researcher in humanities, social sciences, theology or law, who can thereby spend a year at a university, higher education institution or research institute in Sweden.
