Campus Gotland students on exchange autumn 2020

In the end, 410 students were offered a placement and have accepted it, and 33 of these are CG students. If compared with the autumn of 2019 we had 31 and autumn 2018 nine CG students on exchange via the International office, showing the course of a continued strong interest and good results!

The selected students will leave Visby for one or two semesters and head to one of our 400 partner universities, starting in autumn 2020, and they are distributed as follows:

From Archaeology / Osteology, one student will go to:

• University of Reading in the United Kingdom.

From Business studies, six students will go to:

• Waseda University, Japan,
• Rijksuniversiteit Groningen, Netherlands,
• Universidad de Deusto, Spain, and
• University of Colorado Boulder (2) and University of Washington in the United States.

From Art history / Conservation, one student will go to:

• Keio University, Japan.

Från Environmental Science,one student will go to:

• Universidad de Deusto, Spain.

From our Game Design programmes, five students will go to:

• Sophia University and Tokyo Institute of Technology, Japan,
• Universiteit Leiden, Netherlands,
• University of Edinburgh, the United Kingdom, and
• University of Michigan, the United States.

From Information Systems, six students will go to:

• University of British Columbia, Canada,
• The University of Hong Kong, China,
• Háskólinn í Reykjavik, Iceland,
• Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology, Republic of Korea,
• University of Sussex, the United Kingdom, and
• Purdue University, the United States.

From leadership-quality-improvement (LKF), one student will go to:

• University of South Florida, the United States.

From Social and Economic Geography,one student will go to:

• Rijksuniversiteit Groningen, Netherlands.

From Sustainable Destination Development, five students will go to:

• Simon Frasier University, Canada,
• Aarhus Universitet, Denmark,
• Åbo Akademi, Finland,
• Universidad de Deusto, Spain, and
• Gustavus Adolphus College, the United States.

From Sustainable Energy Transition, six students will go to:

• Rijksuniversiteit Groningen, Netherlands,
• National Taiwan University, Taiwan,
• University College London and University of Birmingham, the United Kingdom,
• University of Texas at Austin and Hawaii Pacific University, the United States.

The next application round for exchange studies via the International office is open 15 April to 15 May and is for studies starting in the spring semester 2021. Many students can also apply for exchange via their Faculty or Departmental exchange agreements with application deadlines usually about six months in advance.
