Student services at Campus Gotland in times of corona

We hope you are managing in these confusing times. We also hope that you have found new routines that work well for you studying at home with distance based-learning. With this page, we would like to remind you that our support functions are still here for you. Maybe not in exactly the same way as usual, but we are here when you need help or support. First some words on how to get started with Zoom.

GET STARTED WITH ZOOM
Zoom is an e-meeting service, free to use for all employees and students at Uppsala University. With Zoom, you are able to invite students, colleagues and external contacts to meetings with video and sound, from your own computer. Installation guide for students (pdf). GROUP STUDY ROOMS/LECTURE ROOMS
As a student at Campus Gotland you can reserve group study rooms and lecture rooms, availability permitting. Read on how to book group study rooms/lecture rooms.

HELPDESK
You reach the Helpdesk staff at servicedesk@uu.se or at +46 18 471 4400. If you need to see one in person, you can ask at the reception, open 09:00-15:00 (closed for lunch 12:00-13:00)

INTERNATIONAL BACHELOR'S AND MASTER'S STUDENTS
Turn to undergraduate@uu.se or masterprogrammes@uu.se for general or covid19 outbreak related issues: insurance, residence permit, home-travelling issues, Swedish personal number, Swedish bank account, and more.

LANGUAGE WORKSHOP
The Language Workshop service is open as usual but meetings take place via Zoom. Make an appointment for a consultation via gotland@sprakverkstaden.uu.se

LIBRARY
Do you need help with reference management, source criticism, information retrieval or searching tips? At the library, staff are available for questions via email almedalsbiblioteket@ub.uu.se or at libanswers.ub.uu.se/en

You can also book a tutorial via Zoom. To book, please email almedalsbiblioteket@ub.uu.se and indicate what you need help with, for example, programme/course, assignment/research question/topic, what you are looking for, what databases and keywords you have used previously, etcetera.

RECEPTION DESK
The reception at Campus is open Monday-Friday 9:00-12:00 and 13:00-15:00.

STUDENT HEALTH SERVICE
Our counsellor is available as usual but meetings take place via Zoom, Skype or telephone. Make an appointment and please make a note on which meeting form you prefer. The drop in hours on Mondays 14:00-16:00 will take place via Zoom, you will find the link the Zoom meeting on Mondays here.

STUDY ABROAD GUIDANCE
Students with general or covid19 outbreak related questions about study abroad, internships abroad, insurance issues etcetera, could get in touch with international officers during a daily drop-in service online: Monday – Friday 13:00-14:00 uu-se.zoom.us/j/241010300.

Pre-booked meetings will take place online or telephone, as preferred. Find links to our drop-in and book an appointment under “Contact us”.

STUDY ADMINISTRATION
You reach our study administrators by email studentservicecampusgotland@uadm.uu.se and at the reception, open Monday – Friday  09:00-15.00 (closed for lunch 12:00-13:00). Read more about the Study administration here.

STUDY GUIDANCE COUNCELLING
If you have questions regarding your studies, your programme, what courses to choose or your future in general, please contact the study counsellors.

PPS. The Restaurant Maltfabriken at Campus is open 9:00-15:00, Monday-Friday. Their lunch meny is found here.

PPPS. Opening hours at Campus Gotland during Easter: 9 April, the Reception and Student services are open until 12:00. The Restaurant Maltfabriken is open until 14:00. During the Easter weekend (Friday - Monday), the university is closed and opens again Tuesday 14 April!

Opening hours 30 April-1 May: 30 April (Walpurgis Eve), the Reception and Student services are open until 12:00. The restaurant (Maltfabriken Lunch & Catering) is open until 14:30. 1 May (Labour Day), the university is closed and opens again as usual Monday 4 May!

Opening hours 21-22 May: Thursday 21 May (Ascension Thursday) and Friday 22 May (a so called ’squeeze day’, i e a day between a public holiday and a weekend), the university is closed. The university is open as usual Monday 25 May!
