The Vice-Chancellor has earmarked SEK 2 million for a climate pot aimed at reinforcing and invigorating Uppsala University’s efforts to reduce its climate impact. Projects and initiatives with the potential to make a tangible contribution to lowering the University’s climate impact can apply for grants of up to SEK 250,000.

Applications for project funding are invited from employees, students and organisational units at Uppsala University.

“The ideas of staff and students are tremendously important in our quest to reduce the University’s climate impact,” says Environmental Director Karolina Kjellberg, who chairs the working group. “Thanks to the Vice-Chancellor’s climate pot, ideas and project proposals now have a chance to become reality. It will be exciting and fun to see the ideas that come up.”

Applications must contain a description of the project’s goals and implementation, a description of any planned continuation after the end of the project, a plan for documentation, follow-up and evaluation, and dissemination of results and a budget.

Read the instructions before you apply.

Applications must be received by 1 September 2020 and should be submitted electronically to Environmental Director Karolina Kjellberg, karolina.kjellberg@uadm.uu.se.

The applications will be assessed by a group consisting of the Environmental Director, the Adviser to the Vice-Chancellor on Sustainable Development, a student representative and representatives of the three disciplinary domains.
