New Dean and Vice-Deans from July 1st

On July 1st 2020, Professor Anna Singer will take over as Dean of the Faculty of Law together with Professor Anna Jonsson Cornell and Associate Professor Hans Eklund as Vice Deans.
Anna Singer is Professor of Civil Law and until June 30th 2020, Deputy Vice-Rector of the Disciplinary Domain of Humanities and Social Sciences. Her research is about children's rights, especially children's rights to parents and children's legal status in family and society. She is a scientific adviser in family law at the National Board of Health and Welfare and has participated in several public investigations in the field of family law.
Anna Jonsson Cornell is Professor of Comparative Constitutional Law. Since 2018, she is the Vice Dean responsible for research and doctoral studies. From July 1st 2020, she is also substitute for the dean on the board of the Disciplinary Domain of Humanities and Social Sciences. She is project leader of the project “Rule of Law: Law and Politics in the World, Europe and Sweden”, funded by the Torsten Söderberg Foundation. She is also the founder of the Human Rights Clinic at the Department of Law, a Vinnova-funded project. Recently, she was appointed expert by the government in a public inquiry on strengthening the protection of democracy and independence of the judiciary.
Hans Eklund is a university lecturer and associate professor of Procedural law. His research areas are procedural law, administrative law and children's law. He has been vice dean in charge of undergraduate education since 2017 and has been running a problem-oriented learning model in law education, which together with an adaptation for labor market needs has been appreciated both by lawyers who graduated and employers.
