The number of applicants to this spring’s courses and programmes at Uppsala University has increased by 18 per cent compared to last year.

The number of applicants to this spring’s courses and programmes at Uppsala University has increased by 18 per cent compared to last year.

By 15 October, the deadline for applications to courses and programmes in the spring 2021, there were 60,497 applicants to study at Uppsala University. Of these, 13,000 applied to courses and programmes at Campus Gotland. Uppsala University has the most applicants of all Swedish higher education institutions and, of these, the Law Programme was most popular.


There is a lot of interesting in attending higher education this spring. Over 257,000 applied to courses and programmes for the spring semester 2021, an increase of 12 per cent compared to last year.

Uppsala University has the most applicants of all Swedish higher education institutions. A total of 60,497 applicants applied to the University for spring semester 2021, an increase of 18 per cent compared to spring 2020.

  • Law
  • Psychology
  • Medicine
  • Business Administration and Economics (Bachelor’s programme)
  • Nursing

  • Leadership and Coaching
  • Graphic Design for Web
  • Leadership and Conflict Management
  • Project Management
  • 3D Modelling and Visualisation with ZBrush
