Cleaning services appeal to students and staff to keep their distance

Custodial technicians at the University often have to interrupt their work and leave rooms and spaces without the cleaning services they need.
The University’s cleaning services urge all staff and students to respect the work of the custodial technicians by keeping their distance and letting them work in peace and quiet without worrying about infection.
“Our profession cannot carry out its duties from home. Regrettably, as things are now, the 2 metre rule is not respected and so we are issuing this appeal to respect the work of the cleaning services and follow the guidelines on maintaining distance,” says Gun Ekman, head of the Cleaning Services Unit at Uppsala University.
