Summer greetings from vice-rector

Welcome back to campus in the autumn!
It has been a very demanding year. Teaching and assessment has for the most part been online and remote. You have not been able to meet your classmates or participate in activities as usual. This has been tremendously tiresome and consumed us all. Despite this, you have successfully earned your credits and performed well during this academic year. That is very gratifying.
For those of you continuing your courses this autumn, I would like to welcome you back to on-campus teaching and assessment. It might feel a little unusual at first to meet your classmates and teachers in real life. You can rest assured that the university will follow all recommendations of the Government and the Public Health Agency.
There are some points that we still will need to keep in mind, such as staying home at the slightest symptom, in case of suspicion of infection, test for covid-19 and continue to wash your hands and use hand sanitizer.
Until we meet in the autumn, I want to wish you all a pleasant summer!
Johan Tysk, vice-rector, Faculty of Science and Technology
