Recipient of von Matern’s prize honoured
Ingrid Uggla, recipient of this year’s von Matern’s prize, was celebrated in connection with a seminar on 28 September.
Ingrid Uggla, author of several books on co-operative housing law and, among other things, formerly an associate judge and legal expert for the Ministry of Housing, was awarded the von Matern’s prize in the autumn term of 2021 by the Faculty of Law in Uppsala.
She has received the prize “for her authorship with important contributions to both academic discourse and legal policy debate and the resolution of questions arising from the application of co-operative housing law”.
The Faculty of Law awards the von Matern’s prize annually to a person who has promoted authorship in the area of law in Sweden. The von Matern’s prize was established in a will in 1930 by Tyra von Matern, in memory of deputy circuit judge Knut von Matern.
