Margareta Hammarlund-Udenaes receives the Rune Lönngren Prize
Margareta Hammarlund-Udenaes, Professor Emerita at the Faculty of Pharmacy, is awarded the Rune Lönngren Prize 2021 by the Swedish Pharmaceutical Society for significant contributions in social pharmacy and clinical pharmacy.
The Swedish Pharmaceutical Society has decided to award the 2021 Rune Lönngren Prize to Margareta Hammarlund-Udenaes, Professor emerita of Pharmacokinetics and Pharmacodynamics at Uppsala University. Hammarlund-Udenaes receives the prize for her many years of commitment and contributions to increase the focus on better drug use and the development of the field of Pharmacotherapy.
Margareta Hammarlund-Udenaes has made great impressions during her time at the Faculty of Pharmacy. Her many important contributions include the work to increase the element of studies on the use of drugs in pharmaceutical education, as well as her significance for the emergence of both the subject of pharmacotherapy and the Master's Programme in Clinical Pharmacy.
Margareta Hammarlund-Udenaes, honorary member of both the Swedish Pharmaceutical Society and the Pharmaceutical Student Union, will accept the Rune Lönngren Prize during the Pharmacy Day on 24 November, where she will also give the lecture Läkemedel i samhället (“Drugs in Society”).
