The Dean of the Faculty of Law, Anna Singer, awards Carl Henrik Ehrenkrona von Matern's premium and flowers.

Carl Henrik Ehrenkrona has been awarded von Matern's premium by the Faculty of Law at Uppsala University.


Carl Henrik is a former Legal Director of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs and is honored for his writing with important contributions based on practical experience of working with European law and global international law.

In connection with the award, Carl Henrik gave a much appreciated lecture about his experiences and reflections on being legal director in the Ministry for Foreign Affairs.

The Dean of the Faculty of Law, Anna Singer, thanked Carl Henrik for a very exciting, informative and comprehensive speech.

Facts about von Matern's premium


The Faculty of Law annually awards von Matern's premium to a person who has promoted legal authorship in Sweden. Von Matern's premium was established in a will in 1930 by Tyra von Matern in memory of Deputy Governor Knut von Matern.

Carl Henrik Ehrenkrona is awarded the prize "for his writing, based on practical experience of the work with European law and global international law combined with theoretical acumen and pedagogical writing skills, has resulted in extremely solid and readable contributions to jurisprudence literature and discussion".
