Uppsala University celebrates its birthday!
Today, 7 October, it is 545 years since teaching began at Uppsala University. This notable occasion will be celebrated in style in the Grand Auditorium with prizes and musical performances.
Nothing planned this evening? Why not go to Uppsala University’s birthday party in the Grand Auditorium, starting at 18:00. The ceremony will be something of a gala at which those who have been singled out for awards during the year will receive their prizes on stage. There will also be a lecture by Li Bennich-Björkman, Professor of Political Science, and musical entertainment from the Royal Academic Orchestra and the Allmänna Sången choir.
