Margareta Brattström appointed as new Justice of the Supreme Court
On December 15th the Swedish Government appointed Margareta Brattström, Professor of Private Law and Anders Perklev, President of Svea Court of Appeal as Justicies of the Supreme Court in Sweden.
Margareta Brattström has been working as a Professor of Private Law at the Department of Law at Uppsala University since 2011, where she has also been Deputy Dean and Head of Department.
Margareta has taught Family Law at the Department since the mid-1990s, undergraduate and master level courses. She has also supervised PhD-candidates.
She is the author of several books and articles in areas such as Family Law and Real Estate Law. Her areas of expertise includes Property, Marriage and Inheritance Law.
Margareta will take office as as Justice on April 17th 2023.
