Dispersed book collection reunited again.

Sigismund was King of Sweden from 1592 to 1599 (and of Poland from 1587 to 1632). When he was dethroned in 1599, he also lost his book collection, which was kept in the palace church at Tre Kronor Palace. The books were taken to the crown depository at Gråmunkeholmen (today's Riddarholmen).
When Uppsala University Library was founded in the early 1620s, all the books from the crown depository were donated to Uppsala. Once here, the books were dispersed and arranged by subject. Now Sigismund's books are placed together again for the first time in 400 years.
The Sigismund collection consists of just over 100 volumes. More information about the collection can be found in Alvin: http://urn.kb.se/resolve?urn=urn:nbn:se:alvin:portal:record-490741
