The Doctoral council of the Faculty of Law at Uppsala University is happy to invite you to a national conference dedicated to Doctoral Candidates in law on the topic of creating jurisprudence. The conference will be hosted in Uppsala on 21-22 August 2023.

By bringing together early-career researchers from various faculties of law in Sweden, as per a tradition over the past 20 years, the conference aims to inspire innovative contributions to the debate within various areas of law and with a special focus on the recent developments at the core of today’s legal research, such as method and theory, the rule of law, and the concept of rights.

All participants are welcome to join the discussions around these issues, and doctoral candidates will have the opportunity to present their academic research and receive feedback during smaller parallel and thematic sessions, moderated by early career researchers in the respective fields.

The participants will also be able to attend the lectures held by international experts in the fields of philosophy, criminal law, constitutional law, and journalism.

The doctoral candidates Sara Lundberg and Simon Göransson, who are part of the conference committee, are happy to invite doctoral candidates from all over the nation:

“All doctoral students are invited to submit a short abstract of their own research, or other work (published or forthcoming), to be presented in one of the parallel sessions. This will be a unique opportunity to get feedback from all kinds of young researchers. You should not miss this event, welcome to Uppsala in August!”

Registrations are accepted no later than 1 June.
Deadline for abstracts: 1 April.
