Workshop on international tax law, 13-20 April 2023
From 13 to 20 April 2023, Professor Katia Cejie and Professor Emeritus Bertil Wiman of the Department of Law will host the Eucotax/Wintercourse, an annual event in international tax law.
The 2023 meeting of the participating universities will take place from 13 to 19 April in Uppsala. The gathering is called (for historical reasons) the Wintercourse. During the week, around 65 students and 35 professors from 12 different countries in Europe and the US will hold workshops, conferences, and other events on the theme of "Legitimacy of tax rules".
Six sub-topics within the framework of the overall theme have been developed and six students from each university write a paper before the meeting in Uppsala, based on a questionnaire prepared by the professors. In Uppsala in April, a week of group work/workshop takes place where the students from the participating universities carry out a comparative study based on the 12 different countries' tax systems within the framework of each sub-topic. After the week in Uppsala, the results of the six comparative studies will be published.
