Travelling exhibition on Sweden’s preparedness and resilience
The travelling exhibition Tänk om – tillsammans i krig och fred (Consider – together in war and peace) will come to Uppsala University in November, including in the form of a container outside the University Library Carolina Rediviva.
The travelling exhibition Tänk om – tillsammans i krig och fred (Consider – together in war and peace) will come to Uppsala University between 13 and 23 November 2023. The exhibition will be travelling between universities and colleges across Sweden in 2023/2024.
The purpose of the exhibition is to raise awareness and highlight the importance of preparedness and to enhance an interest in defence among young people.
The exhibition has two parts: an experience-based part in which visitors have the chance to experience the feeling of being in a war through movement, sound and technology. The second part is interactive, focusing on Sweden’s history of defence and what individuals can do today to get involved in the defence services.
Tänk om – tillsammans i krig och fred is a collaboration between the National Swedish Museums of Military History, the Swedish Armed Forces, the Swedish Security and Defense Industry Association and the higher education institutions at which the travelling exhibition is being hosted.
