The first selection round for admissions to the 2026 spring semester is now complete. The total number of admissions to Uppsala University is 58,885, a decline of 0.7 per cent compared with last year. The programmes that required the highest merit rating for admission were medicine and psychology.

Uppsala University has made 58,885 admissions ahead of the 2026 spring semester, compared with 59,322 admissions for the 2025 spring semester, a decrease of 0.7 per cent. Campus Gotland has 5,879 admissions for the 2026 spring semester, a decrease of 2.7 per cent compared with last year, when Campus Gotland had 6,043 admissions in the first selection round.

A person can be admitted to several courses/programmes, so this is not the same as the number of admitted applicants (individuals). This differs from the statistics published by the Swedish Council for Higher Education, which counts the number of individuals rather than the number of admissions.
