Spring semester admissions up by over 10%

The second round of selection for admission to spring semester 2021 is now complete. Total admissions to Uppsala University have increased by 10.5% compared to the previous spring semester. At Uppsala University Campus Gotland, the increase is 15.3%. The medicine and psychology programmes proved hardest to gain admission to.
After the second round of admissions for spring term 2021, Uppsala University reached 47,495 admissions, compared to 42,972 for spring semester 2020 – an increase of 10.5%. At 5,751, admissions to Campus Gotland increased by 15.3% year over year, from 4,989 for spring semester 2020.
Statistics for Uppsala University apply to total admissions rather than the number of students admitted, as one person may be admitted to several courses and programmes.
