Our botanical gardens
The Linnaean Gardens of Uppsala have successfully combined botany and horticulture for more than 350 years.
The Linnaeus Garden with the Linnaeus Museum lie in central Uppsala, just north of the library. The Botanical Garden is directly west of Uppsala Castle. Linnaeus' Hammarby is in the parish of Danmark, about 15 km southeast of Uppsala.

The Linnaean Gardens of Uppsala – gardens in three locations
The Botanical Garden
with the Baroque Garden, the Tropical Greenhouse and the Linneanum Orangery is just west of Uppsala Castle.The garden is open all year round.
The Linnaeus Garden
with the Linnaeus Museum is open May-September. The museum is open to pre-booked groups in winter. The garden is in central Uppsala, just north of the pedestrian street.
Linnaeus' Hammarby
The park, buildings, café and shop are open May-September. The park and the cultural reserve are open all year round. Linnaeus' Hammarby is situates about 10 kilometers south of Uppsala.
Free entry for employees and students of Uppsala University
The Botanical Garden has free admission to the outdoor areas. There is an admission charge to Linnaeus’ Hammarby, the Linnaeus Garden with the Linnaeus Museum, and to the Tropical Greenhouse. Children under 18 years and employees and students of Uppsala University have free admission.
Other admission charges may apply for special exhibitions and events.
