WP 2. Additive Manufacturing of Materials for Bioprocessing
In the future manufacturing of biopharmaceuticals complex 3D-printing of bioprocess-compatible materials with high resolution is needed. There is also a need for developing corrosive-resistant materials for bioprocessing applications, and through 3D-printing, there is a possibility to produce e.g. alloys that are otherwise too expensive to make. Furthermore, to lower the bioburden, surfaces of 3D-printed parts need to be improved for these applications.
