Precision diagnostics at Clinical Genomics Uppsala
Genomic Medicine Sweden (GMS) recently received funding for continued introduction of precision medicine into Swedish healthcare. Clinical Genomics Uppsala is the hub of the initiative in Uppsala.
Johan Botling, who is Uppsala University’s representative in the management group of GMS and also leads the work on solid tumors at Clinical Genomics Uppsala, was recently interviewed about the molecular diagnostics that are developed at Clinical Genomics Uppsala. He highlighted the role of research in the development of precision diagnostics and individualized treatments as well as the importance of national coordination.
