Lotte Moens, PhD, is a clinical molecular biologist at the department of Clinical Pathology at Uppsala University Hospital. Lotte has a background in toxicogenomics, genetics of multifactorial diseases and molecular pathology and has extensive experience in genomic methods development. She has been involved in development work at Clinical Genomics Uppsala since 2013, and has for example made major contributions towards the national validation and local implementation of the Genomic Medicine Sweden gene panel for solid tumors (GMS560) in clinical practice, as well as the implementation of various focused NGS panels and gene expression assays for testing patients with solid tumors.
– Working at both Clinical Genomics and Uppsala University Hospital allows me to combine and integrate molecular method development, research service projects and clinical routine. My ambition is to provide both researchers and clinicians with state-of-the-art, robustly validated tools that aid in molecular characterization, diagnostics and treatment decision-making in patients with solid tumors, says Lotte Moens.
