Clinical Genomics Uppsala organizes workshop on translation from research to healthcare

Since the establishment in 2014, Clinical Genomics Uppsala has contributed to clinical implementation of more than 100 diagnostic tests. We will now share the experiences gained from this work to facilitate translation of additional methods through SciLifeLab.

In the workshop, we will give a brief outline of the process of implementation of new methods into Swedish healthcare, implications of the in vitro diagnostic regulation (IVDR) and an overview of how we work at Clinical Genomics Uppsala. We will also give some examples of development projects that we have been involved in. This will be followed by an interactive part, where participants will work with mapping the translational potential and bottlenecks of a method from their own unit.

The workshop takes place at BMC, Uppsala, on May 8 at 13:00-16:30.
