Building a Feminist Archive: A Workshop

The workshop is intended for any staff or students interested in the history of women’s entry to Higher Education, and ways in which feminism has democratize universities.

There will be discussion of a case study examining the inclusion of Wollstonecraft’s writings in university curriculums from the 1970s. Participants are invited to discuss other plans and projects, and questions of archival methodology. This will be a small and informal gathering, and those wishing to take part should contact the organizer directly as soon as possible: emma.clery@engelska.uu.se.

In the afternoon 14:15–17:30 there will be public talks, and a roundtable discussion addressing the relevance of the case of Mary Wollstonecraft to the themes of the ‘Democracy and Higher Education’ program. Mary Wollstonecraft Goes to University: A symposium.
