Oral statements in criminal cases

Oral statements are one of the most important types of evidence in criminal case procedures. Law enforcement agencies sometimes use so-called statement analysis techniques to evaluate whether a person is telling the truth or lying. However, the scientific evaluations on whether statement analysis techniques work are still insufficient. The purpose of this study is to do just that, that is, evaluate whether different methods for statement analysis techniques can successfully distinguish true and false statements. To fulfil this purpose we need true and false statements to analyse.
