New article by GaW researchers sheds light on wet-nurses
The book Women of the Past, Issues for the Present, edited by Nina Javette Koefoed and Rubina Raja, discusses several groups of women in history, such as enslaved women in the Roman empire and women who wrote letters in eighteenth-century Denmark.
Karin Hassan Jansson and Jonas Lindström shed light on the group wet-nurses in their chapter “Wet-Nurses and Verbs: Methodological Experiences of Studying Gender and Work in Early Modern Europe”.
