The Swedish National Data Service (SND) is a national research infrastructure aimed at enabling the preservation of and access to high quality research data from several scientific disciplines. SND also has responsibility for providing documentation and developing standards for documentation and storage of research data.

The University of Gothenburg hosts SND and almost 40 universities/organisations, including Uppsala University, participate. SND is Sweden’s node in the Consortium of European Social Science Data Archives (CESSDA-ERIC).

The Council for Research Infrastructures (RFI) funds this research infrastructure, which the Swedish Research Council considers to be in the national interest.

Contact person at Uppsala University is Kristina Edström, Professor at the Department of Chemistry - Ångström.
