Solar Cell Technology- doctoral course Spring 2023

A doctoral course on ”Solar Cell Technology” (FTN0178, 5hp) will be offered this spring term (between April-May) by Uppsala University. As the course is open to students from outside Uppsala University, it will be given via zoom and consists of 13 lectures together with 6 assignments. It is designed for doctoral students and experienced researchers with an interest in solar cell technologies. 

The course will give an overview of the different solar cell technologies (including thin film, silicon, perovskite, multijunction, organic and dye-sensitized solar cells) with an expansion towards semiconductor physics, electrical and electro-optical measurement methods, module technology and synchrotron characterization methods. The most recent developments in the field and future challenges for high efficiency solar cells will be addressed.
