Strengthening Solar Energy Research Bonds: SOLVE and SuSolTech Convergence

In what is hoped to become a new tradition, our SOLVE PhD students visited the Oslo to meet with PhD students from the Norwegian centre of excellence for solar energy, SuSolTech.

The PhD students enjoyed two days of fruitful discussions in the welcoming environment of the Oslo science park and Norwegian meteorological institute. While many of the research needs of our neighbouring countries align, it was inspiring to see how well our academic specialisations and industry competences complement each other. Plans for joint workshops and other activities between the centres were discussed, as a basis for strengthened collaboration in future.
