The Final seminar ("pie seminar") is the last of the three mandatory seminars that the doctoral students have during the studies before the defense. The main purpose of the seminar is to give the doctoral student feedback on how the manuscript can be improved and clarified before the completion of the thesis. The seminar is also part of the quality assurance process and a quality review of the thesis work. The seminar begins with a short presentation where the doctoral student presents the thesis work for about 10-15 minutes. Next, the work is discussed by an external reviewer. At the seminar, there is an academic discussion with constructive feedback about the manuscript. There will also be an opportunity for colleagues to give feedback and have a general discussion
The seminar will be held in English.
