The (very) Long run Health Effects of Industrial Pollution

Summary

The aim of this project is to study how industrial pollution affects health in the long run. The project uses the Universe of Swedish Plants database, which contains data on all manufacturing establishments in Sweden above a certain size and includes information on the scale of production. Together with information from other databases on emissions and pollution, where people lived, and a range of measures related to health and well-being, we can measure the impact of industrial pollution on these outcomes. The long time span will allow us to study the long run effects of industrial pollution on health in a way that has not been possible before.
