3D-design and modeling

3D-design and modeling is the process of creating digital representations of objects for 3D-printing, animation, and other applications. At our facilities, we offer professional 3D-design services using software such as Fusion 360, Blender, and Netfabb. These tools allow us to work with a wide variety of file formats to meet the specific needs of your project.

Supported File Formats

  • Fusion 360: Works with formats like STEP (.step/.stp), IGES (.iges/.igs), and STL (.stl), ideal for parametric designs and engineering models.
  • Blender: Supports OBJ (.obj), FBX (.fbx), STL (.stl), and GLTF (.gltf/.glb) formats, which are perfect for artistic and organic models.
Netfabb: Optimizes and repairs meshes, supporting STL (.stl), OBJ (.obj), and other mesh-based file formats, ensuring that your models are ready for 3D-printing.

Parametric vs. Non-Parametric Modeling

  • Parametric Modeling: This approach is rule-based and precise, making it perfect for mechanical parts, where dimensions and relationships between components are critical.
  • Non-Parametric Modeling: This more flexible approach is ideal for organic shapes and artistic designs, where freeform modeling is often required.

Our Services

  • Whether you need a new design from scratch or modifications to an existing one, we can create and optimize models for 3D-printing.
