Laila Mendy, a doctoral student at CCL, recently published an op-ed in the magazine Curie regarding her study on how climate scientists experience the deliberate distortion of their research, harassment, and threats. Join us for a breakfast talk on science communication, climate denial, and the lack of trust.

Laila is a PhD student at the Climate Change Leadership unit within the Natural Resources and Sustainable Development research programme at Uppsala University. She employs both qualitative and quantitative methods to understand trust and scepticism between Swedish climate researchers and the public. Her research interests include science communication, participatory co-production methods, just transitions, and green backlash.

This morning, she will share her research on the prevailing debate surrounding climate change and research communication.

Join us for coffee and conversation. If you would like a coffee and a sandwich, please register by Tuesday, 24 February. Otherwise, no registration needed.
