Humtank think tank celebrates ten-year anniversary
Ten years have passed since the think tank Humtank was founded – a collaboration between Swedish higher education institutions at which the humanities are represented.
The idea behind the think tank is to strengthen the role of the humanities both within and outside academia, and to demonstrate to the public the relevance and viability of the humanities in society.
The think tank recently published the booklet “Humanioras betydelse – en idéskrift” (“The importance of the humanities – a collection of ideas”), and on Friday 20 September 2024 the organisation celebrated its first decade with presentations and panel discussions at Kulturhuset in Stockholm. The 2024 Humtank Prize was also awarded to Sverker Sörlin, professor at KTH.
