By-election of Dean for Faculty of Social Sciences
The process has started to appoint a new Dean for the Faculty of Social Sciences if the current Dean is appointed Vice-Rector.
Because Joakim Palme, currently Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences, has been proposed as the new Vice-Rector succeeding Tora Holmberg, the process of appointing a successor to him has been initiated.
At the time of writing, the nomination period remains open within the Faculty, which means that anyone in the faculty meeting can nominate someone for the post of Dean. The nomination period will end on 7 February.
After that, the Faculty of Social Sciences’ nomination committee will review the nominations and propose one or more candidates to the faculty meeting. The Vice-Rector for the Disciplinary Domain of Humanities and Social Sciences then makes the decision to appoint a new Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences based on a proposal from the Social Sciences faculty meeting.
The entire by-election process within the Faculty of Social Sciences will be handled digitally, including the voting procedure.
