The committees for education at the medical and pharmaceutical faculties (GRUNK, GRUFF and KUF) organise workshops on cultural intelligence. On 26 September 2024, it is time for a workshop for domain teachers, supervisors, doctoral students and administrative staff.

About the cultural intelligence workshop
Cultural intelligence is crucial in our internationalised world. The ability to function well in multicultural contexts is shown to have a positive impact on individual success, workgroup creativity, and the profitability of organisations. This course will give you the tools to manage cultural differences at work and in education.
Staff, doctoral students, and supervisors at the Disciplinary Domain of Medicine and Pharmacy are invited to a morning workshop on cultural intelligence led by Charlotta Öberg from PRISMA Cross-Cultural Consultants. She is an expert in cultural diversity and intercultural communication and an internationally sought-after speaker on the topic.
The Disciplinary Domain of Medicine and Pharmacy is a multicultural environment. Our Master’s and doctoral programmes are very international, and many undergraduate programmes have a high proportion of students from foreign backgrounds. At the same time, internationalisation efforts are being made at several levels in the Disciplinary Domain of Medicine and Pharmacy. Both student and staff mobility are expected to increase, leading to more international experiences, and the number of internationalisation activities at home is steadily growing.
To prepare staff and students for the challenges and opportunities of internationalisation, we offer an evidence-based approach to developing cultural intelligence (CQ). Successfully managing cultural differences and cultivating the positive effects of cultural diversity in the workplace is becoming increasingly important as workplaces and societies become more multicultural.
Medfarm has organised several appreciated CQ workshops with Charlotta Öberg for both staff and students between 2019 and 2023.
