Alexandra Waluszewski, Professor at the Department of Economic History, presents her research on antibiotic resistance.
The seminar will be held in Swedish.
Antibiotic resistance, or AMR (antimicrobial resistance), has been defined as one of our time's global health threats since the turn of the millennium. Despite this, around 70% of the world's antibiotic use still goes to animals in food production.
What role have research, policy and industry played in this development? What forces are behind successful efforts to minimise the use of antibiotics for animals? This is the theme of the seminar presentation on 4 March.
The seminar will be held in Swedish via Zoom. To register, please contact johan.boberg@idehist.uu.se.
