Over 100 million allocated to cancer research at Medfarm
The Swedish Cancer Society has decided to grant a total of SEK 102,1 million for research at the Disciplinary Domain of Medicine and Pharmacy between January 2024 and December 2026.
In total, the Swedish Cancer Society has approved research grants to Uppsala University amounting to SEK 107,1 million, including funds for so-called researcher months.
Of this amount, just over SEK 102 million has been allocated to researchers at the medical and pharmaceutical faculties. A total of 36 different research projects have been awarded grants from the Swedish Cancer Society, and these are distributed across the institutions as follows:
Immunology, Genetics and Pathology: 15
Medicinal Sciences: 7
Medicinal Biochemistry and Microbiology: 4
Medicinal Cell Biology: 3
Surgical Sciences: 3
Pharmacy: 1
Public Health and Caring Sciences: 1
Women’s and Children’s Health: 1
