Upsala Läkareförening’s Rudbeck Prize 2025
This year’s Upsala Läkareförening’s Rudbeck Prize is awarded to Professor of Rheumatology Lars Rönnblom, active at the Department of Medical Sciences at Uppsala University.

Professor Lars Rönnblom is awarded this years Upsala Läkareförening’s Rudbeck Prize.
Professor Lars Rönnblom is awarded the Upsala Läkareförening’s Rudbeck Prize 2025 for his outstanding studies of the causes and treatment of rheumatic diseases in general, and Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE) in particular.
Lars Rönnblom is Senior Professor within the Rheumatology research group and has previously been honoured with, among others, the Swedish Rheumatism Association’s and Pfizer’s Nanna Svartz Award in 2023 for his patient-centred research focusing on understanding the molecular mechanisms leading to SLE.
Lars Rönnblom will give a lecture on his research in connection with the Olof Rudbeck Day on 17 October. The Olof Rudbeck Day is an annual joint event organised by Upsala Läkareförening and the Disciplinary Domain of Medicine and Pharmacy at Uppsala University, together with Uppsala University Hospital.
