On 27 January, the Vice-Chancellor decided to reorganise the campus management at BMC and establish the Centre for Campus Management at Uppsala Biomedical Centre. Organisationally, it is part of the Disciplinary Domain of Medicine and Pharmacy, but no changes will be noticeable in day‑to‑day operations.

The purpose of the reorganisation is to incorporate Campus Management into the ordinary line organisation, in order to facilitate planning and development work concerning premises issues that the Domain Board is responsible for. The reorganisation creates a clearer distinction between the service tasks of Campus Management, for which the centre is responsible, and collegial matters concerning strategic and long-term premises provision, as well as prioritisation of teaching rooms.

The new organisation applies from 1 February 2026 and primarily affects decision-making and preparatory processes related to long-term premises provision. The reorganisation will be monitored continuously during 2026 and evaluated in autumn 2028.
