The Pedagogical Academy at its annual retreat

The Pedagogical Academy gathered for an inspiring retreat.
Reflections and, above all, planning for the future were the main themes when the Pedagogical Academy held its annual retreat. “We left with a great deal of renewed energy,” says Anja Sandström.

After launching the Pedagogical Academy at the Disciplinary Domain of Medicine and Pharmacy with a kick-off event last year, it was now time for a new gathering. This was the first of what will now become an annual retreat focusing on the issues the Academy will advance in pedagogy and didactics within the Disciplinary Domain of Medicine and Pharmacy.
The members, comprising all distinguished university teachers within the domain, spent a full day in constructive discussions and looked back at what had been achieved over the past year. Above all, however, they focused on what lies ahead.
Among other activities, the teachers inspired one another through short presentations on issues they are passionate about and discussed the priorities that the Pedagogical Academy will take forward.
“It is very encouraging that we are now underway with what will become an annual gathering for the Academy. We returned home from the retreat with a great deal of energy for upcoming meetings with students and colleagues,” says Anja Sandström, distinguished university teacher and Vice-Dean for First and Second Cycle Education at the Faculty of Pharmacy.
