USN announces funding for doctoral positions in the healthcare professions
Application period: 8 May–15 June 2026.
The University Medical Board Executive Committee invites applications for up to three grants for new doctoral students within the healthcare professions. The grants are intended to enable doctoral students to work on their doctoral studies for 50 per cent of their working time, calculated on an annual basis, with no reduction in salary.
The supervisor must:
- have completed an approved supervisor training course at Uppsala University;
- have docent-level qualifications; and
- hold a position within Region Uppsala or at a primary care centre with an agreement with Region Uppsala of at least 30 per cent.
The doctoral student must:
- be employed by Region Uppsala or at a primary care centre with an agreement with Region Uppsala; and
- meet the requirements for admission to doctoral studies at Uppsala University.
