VFS exists to facilitate Uppsala University researchers' testing of new forms of research in collaboration with external parties. The autumn announcement is in full swing. Do you want to know more about what is required to apply, or do you already have an idea and want to start bouncing it off our collaboration managers? Register for the Zoom lunchinar on Friday 4 October, at 12-13

VFS is financed by Uppsala University to promote collaboration between university researchers and external parties, inspire new research, and help research reach society more quickly.
And VFS is more than a form of financing.
VFS allows researchers and external parties to, with expert support from the collaboration managers at Uppsala University Partnership Office, try out – and verify – how collaborative research works and whether you have enough in common with your collaboration partner to want to continue when the project ends. For example, seek additional funding. (Something you can also get help with.)
Applications for VFS funds are always made in consultation with a collaboration leader at the UU Partnership Office. They provide feedback on the application to ensure it meets basic requirements.
It is possible to apply for VFS twice yearly, in spring and autumn.
New for this year is that researchers within the Faculty of Science and Technology (Teknat) can apply for funding for collaboration in research with the university's strategic partner organisations. You can read more about it here.

Briefly about
VFS (Verification for Collaboration, Samverkan in Swedish) addresses researchers at Uppsala University who want to develop research in collaboration with actors outside the academy. This can be research projects carried out together with companies, actors in the public sector, or non-profit activities.
The projects span nine months, and the funding allows the researcher to explore how to work with research in collaboration with parties outside the academy and reach out to society with their results. A project can be granted a maximum of SEK 300,000.
