Welcome!
Anna Lupon and Núria Catalán are mid-career ecologists and co-founders of the Gender and Science Group of the Iberian Association of Limnology (AIL), which was awarded the prize "Contribution to Diversity and Inclusion in Academia" by the Spanish Association of Terrestrial Ecology in 2021. They work to foster female visibility within the scientific community and improve gender equality in ecological associations and institutions. Their team has published several studies addressing gender issues in academia (see below) and given inspiring talks and seminars at international ecology conferences. They have developed teaching resources and visual aids to help transmit their message. One of the studies recently led by Anna assessed if women and men were equally represented, participated equally and had the same feelings of belonging at an international conference.
